Civilian trucks and other civilian equipment have a much longer lifetime than military equipment, and are therefore much more subject to the influence of the natural effects of dust, dirt, and of course rust. It does not matter whether it is a truck or a tractor, a country road or a blacktop highway, there will always be a combination of different effects caused by prolonged exposure to the elements.

This book not only attempts to show what Eugene Tur has achieved in modeling, but is also his tribute to the Vallejo products which he has used since the beginning of his fascination with prefabricated models. Paints, pigments, washes, all these are what make the models realistic and gives them life. For the examples of civil engineering models presented in this book, he shows in step by step photographs the use of some of the Vallejo productsm but in fact there is no limit to what you can do to portray the effects of hard wear and rough weather.
